The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Healthy Soils grant program is now open.
The San Mateo RCD provides free assistance. We can tell you more about the program, scope your project ideas, assist you with your application and help you with implementation, monitoring and reporting after grant awards are recieved.
Eligible practices include:
- Field borders, filter strips, and grassed waterways
- Reduced or no-till
- Prescribed Grazing
- Range Planning
- Silcopasture
- Windbreaks, riparian buffers and hedgerows
- Cover Crops
- Reduction in Fertilizer application
- Compost and Mulch application
