The San Mateo Resource Conservation District (SMRCD), in partnership with the Loma Mar Mutual Water and Improvement Company (LMMWIC), welcomes contractors to bid on the Loma Mar Pipeline Replacement and Water Plant Upgrade Project which will replace approximately 1.2 miles of LMMWIC’s water system pipelines, including mainlines and laterals in the community of Loma Mar, CA.
The purpose of this request for bids is to select a contractor for the Project to conduct the following implementation activities: (1) installation of approximately 4,376 lineal feet of 4-inch diameter high-density polyethylene (HPDE) distribution pipeline in the roadway within two pressure zones, (2) installation of approximately 2,232 lineal feet of 3-inch HDPE supply pipeline from the existing storage tanks to the water treatment plant, (3) installation of flushing hydrants at select locations throughout the system, (4) installation of service connections from the mainline to the curb stops along with associated meters, and (5) restoration of paved roadways and other work areas. Implementation of these measures will 1) provide immediate relief for the community of Loma Mar by providing water savings and system reliability and, 2) improve water security for the community in the face of the current and future droughts by installing a new highly efficient and resilient water system.
A mandatory pre-bid tour will be held at the project site. Attendance is required for all bidders and RSVPs are required.
