The San Mateo Resource Conservation District seeks an outstanding team of professionals to implement integrated pest management projects, including control of slender false brome (Brachypodium sylvaticum) and hanging sedge (Carex pendula) throughout San Mateo County, CA. The aim of this project is to work with volunteer landowners to control early-invading species on a regional level. This request for bids is seeking contractors that can perform safe herbicide application and manual removal of invasive species in coordination with landowners and the Project Manager.
Proposals are due April 20, 2020 by 5:00 pm to cleopatra@sanmateoRCD.org. Late proposal submissions will not be considered.
COVID-19: This work is not considered “essential work” during the shelter-in-place order for San Mateo County and California and therefore, work cannot start until the order is lifted. We are moving forward with this request for bids in the hopes that we can start work following the order lift. Work is expected to start May 15, 2020, but may be delayed based on local, state, or federal orders. Awarded contractors will be required to adhere to the RCD’s field policy to maintain safe sanitary and social distancing practices (Refer to our current field policy here. ).
